The troop loves to climb up in the sky at Tree Tops rope course.
Here is the troop with a former member who is now a guide at the course.
Camping is one of our favorite activities. Here the scouts enjoy a good
meal, our favorite, foil cooking over a campfire.
Whenever we go camping, we try to perform a service project at the camp.
Splitting logs is SO much easier when you have a hydraulic log splitter!
Troop 118 participated in a program sponsored by the Township of West
Orange. A group of the scouts canvassed the neighborhood starting at the
corner of Valley Road and Mitchell Street. They picked up both trash and
recyclables. Several residents thanked the boys for their efforts to make
the neighborhood look nice.
After an unexpected October snowstorm, the troop
changed their plans to hike through Eagle Rock Reservation into a trail cleanup project. Many
branches fell onto the Lenape Trail, making the trail unsafe. We were able
to relocate and cut up a number of branches as part of a larger cleanup
effort going on in the reservation.
Each year, we march as the parade color guard with other units in the
Celebrate Israel Parade held on 5th Avenue in New York City.
